Central Coast Council recently celebrated the winners of its youth music competitions, Discovered and Battle of the Bands, as part of the 2025 Creative Engineers program. This initiative aims to support emerging talents of vocalists, songwriters, and musicians in the local community, providing them with opportunities to connect with the vibrant arts sector of the Central Coast.
Following a series of competitive heats, semi-finals, and a grand final at the Creative Engineers Showcase event, several young artists emerged victorious in different categories. In the children’s division, Pixie Minerva won the Discovered competition, while SoulVessel claimed victory in the Battle of the Bands Kids Clash. Other notable winners included Evelyn McKim, Mia Gordon, Pandora Moran, Ayva McKim, Maverick Leslie-Fitch, Shalais Guthrie, Paul Hagistefanis, Chaos Vinyl, Alana Suzanne, Kassidy Lalor, and many more.
Melanie Smith, the Director of Community and Recreation Services at Central Coast Council, commended all participants for their dedication and talent, emphasizing the significance of these competitions in grooming the next generation of creative leaders. The Mayor of the Council, Lawrie McKinna, expressed admiration for the young performers, acknowledging the energy and creativity displayed throughout the events.
