Music Australia Boosts Record Labels with $1.7M Development Scheme

Music Australia has unveiled the inaugural recipients of the Record Label Development Scheme, a pioneering endeavor designed to bolster Australian labels actively championing local talent. The substantial $1,732,000 investment will benefit 23 record labels, ranging from independent entities to major label subsidiaries, facilitating the creation of new recordings, digital content, artwork, marketing campaigns, production, artist development, and more.

Notably, the artists involved in the scheme will also receive support through a 10% non-recoupable artist creation fee.
